Robust Low Profile Tool Rests

The Robust Low Profile Tool Rests are perfect when making delicate cuts and fine control is most important. These tool rests are somewhat narrower in depth compared to the Robust Comfort Rests. The reduction in the depth allows you to place your fingers on the underside of the rest with your thumb on the top of the tool. Effectively trapping the tool between thumb and forefingers, thus giving you much greater control. Each tool rest features a round, hardened steel bar welded to the top edge. This bar will not dent or nick and tools will continue to glide smoothly even after years of turning. Like the Comfort Rests, you can also drop the handle of your tool allowing for shear scraping and improved skew cutting action. Available with stem sizes to fit various lathes.
