Wine Bottle Stopper Kit Teardrop - Gold

N.B. Each kit is supplied as the components only and does not include the material/blank. These classic looking kits only require you to turn a top piece to transform them into you own uniquely designed wine bottle stopper. They are 79mm long and 29mm diameter at the top. The teardrop shape ensures they sit upright when placed in a bottle. A tapered silicone rubber gasket acts as a seal. Each kit includes a double-ended screw; one half screws into a pre-drilled hole in your blank. The other half has an M8 thread, which then screws into the stopper body to attach the two parts. You can use any material you chose; these kits are a great way to use up odd scraps left over from other projects. Thread - 8mm Thread Length - 16mm Pilot Hole - 7.5mm to 8mm depending on the density of the blank material. Note: You will have to judge the diameter of the pilot hole. The spigot has a very coarse thread to help ensure a secure fixing. However, if your blank material is hard, a small pilot hole risks cracking. In all cases we recommend using CA or epoxy glue for extra security. To make turning the bottle stopper a little easier, we recommend using the Axminster bottle stopper arbor (code 212316 for 1MT or 212317 for 2MT).
