Axminster Professional Carver Vice

This ball joint carving vice offers rock solid work holding and versatile positioning through a full hemisphere. Attach a blank onto the 100mm diameter faceplate, screw it onto the main shaft and tighten the grub screw to secure it. The ball joint allows movement of 360° horizontally and 180° vertically, for easy access to every part of your carving. The ball joint locks solidly using two bolts provided with strong tommy bars. Once tightened the vice is solid enough for mallet work, including roughing out. The base of the Axminster Professional carver’s vice requires four simple coach screws to fix it to your bench. The body and base are cast iron and the mounting plate and other components are steel. The faceplate thread size is M20 x 1.5mm.
