Axminster Workshop 150mm Felt Wheel Plain Bore - Hard

These Felt Wheels are made of 100% wool. Felt is a high quality medium and used with a suitable compound or paste in the polishing of metals, precious metals, semi precious stones and glass. In addition, felt gives great results when putting a final polish onto the cutting edge of a blade or chisel. Along with a fine compound, the felt hones and polishes the edge to razor sharpness. The hard felt wheel is the better choice for honing straight edge tools, blades and knives. These felt wheels have a 12.7mm (1/2") plain bore, designed for direct mounting onto the Axminster AW150BB/AC150BB 150mm buffing machine. They can, of course, fit onto any similarly designed 12.7mm (1/2") or 13mm shaft. They are not suitable for use with a pigtail type mounting. The thickness of these wheels is 20mm. We would strongly recommend wearing eye protection when using this machine. Please note: always present the blade or chisel to the wheel so the edge of the tool trails, i.e. the direction of rotation is away from the tool. Made in the UK.
