Dorchester Handsaw 7tpi - 560mm

Dorchester handsaws are amongst the finest traditional resharpenable handsaws available today. These saws are still made in Sheffield to their original specifications. The blade is high quality alloy steel, taper ground to prevent binding in the cut. These saws are precisely set and sharpened by hand to ensure the best possible cut without binding. A breasted tooth-line ensures an efficient and consistent cutting action. This handsaw has 7tpi and is filed crosscut for cutting across the grain. 7tpi is a good general purpose tooth size offering rapid progress and a clean cut at the same time. The handle is American Black Walnut finished with Danish Oil and fixed with solid brass screws.
