Clifton No. 5 1/2 Jack Plane

A top of the line plane and a true workhorse, the 5.1/2 is a good choice for anyone looking for a Jack plane. It makes short work of preparing sawn timber and the wider 60mm blade covers more ground when flattening boards. In addition, it has sufficient length to be used as an effective Fore plane. In common with the other Clifton bench planes the 5.1/2 features a BEDROCK frog providing solid support to the blade, preventing chatter and allowing you to adjust the width of the plane’s mouth without dismantling the plane. The Clifton 5.1/2 comes with a cryogenically treated 3mm thick O1 steel blade and well shaped Walnut tote and knob. Overall length 375mm, weight 3.2kg.
